Hello! I actually asked the person what he meant by that. I'll copy paste his/her answer here:
"AdLock seems small, but sends the most vicious hate.
Now, referring to the second part of your inquiry, I found 13 instances of hate sent by AdLock shippers to separate blogs. Each attack was anonymous, only 5 of the blogs were connected, giving me reason to believe that the anonymous hate was either sent by one (or 2 or 3) source(s) who was merely aiming to attack through tags, that there are a few key AdLock shippers who are bringing a bad name to the fandom, or that the AdLock shippers just choose to offend other ships rather than defend their own.
Like I said, not all are like this. However, the most prevalent instances of hate have unfortunately been brought to my notice, and until proven otherwise, I stand by my deductions."
In addition, I also explained that we kept getting bullied so we had to react that way. I hope this gives us another point of view to the post. In addition, I apologized because the owner of the blog kept getting hate messages v.v

Wait. React in what way...through hate? :0 It might just be my head not processing things because of exhaustion; nevertheless, that seems a bit too confusing for me to catch up on.

Wait. React in what way...through hate? :0 It might just be my head not processing things because of exhaustion; nevertheless, that seems a bit too confusing for me to catch up on. This was my question:
Hello! I read your post about racial minority groups and ships. I've been thinking about their similarities ever since I joined the fandom and supported a ship and I could not have said it better myself than how you did so thank you for that. But I have a question, this line: but cannot be underestimated in the hate department - what did you mean by this? I am slightly confused because I understood it in two ways. First, I understood it as the ship constantly receiving hate and Second, I understood it as the ship sending hate. In the last line, it says that you found 13 anonymous AdLock hate blogs. But then what kind of hate blogs - the ones that hate on the ship or the ones manned by AdLock shippers that send hate to other ships? Please do take this in good faith. This is only an inquiry and I do not mean offence of any kind. Also, it would be wonderful if you reply privately so I may be notified and my query answered right away
And this was the blog owner's answer:
So pleased to hear from you!
I was referring to the ship sending hate. As far as my knowledge goes, every ship receives hate from many sources, within and outside of the fandom. As far as giving, there are fandoms that tend to send it more often than not. The more easily provoked fandoms tend to be the larger ones, though AdLock seems to be an exception to this rule. I may not be fully aware of the size of the AdLock shippers, however, and in that case,my own ignorance would be causing the misinterpretation.
AdLock seems small, but sends the most vicious hate.

Thank you for your questions! Always ask them.
So I clarified and said that we did defend but that no matter how we reasonably presented our ideas, it was bound to get toppled over by some close minded shipper. And that no matter how much we kept to ourselves, we always ended up receiving hate messages and all that. So I told the blog owner that this protectiveness we have over our ship is a result of having to put up with too much hate from the other ships. And that though, he or she did not find these hate messages, it exists, existed, and was bound to exist. The article was only trying to innocently discuss sociological science in social media (and it was very well explained too) which is why I also apologized on our behalf because we might have capitalized on something. And the owner of the blog did not only receive hate from the AdLock shippers but also from the JohnLock shippers which she points out as having "gained a reputation for being absolutely horrid and irreverent". After my apology, the owner goes on to say that "No contempt is felt." and that we "are defending a perfectly palpable ship" because he/she respects "the defense of a ship that so often finds itself on the receiving end of many of the same messages"
Furthermore, in a private correspondence, the owner of the blog says:
"I also have witnessed the backlash against AdLock and don’t understand it in the slightest. It IS a reasonable ship! The sexiest ship in the show, in my opinion, but the response has been very sharp; either toward or against."
And that she also feels a little attachment to AdLock because she blogs/reblogs about them every now and then on her personal blog.
aksiznarfnovamrak_ cheure I hope it clears a few things. Although I do agree that it was biased and they sometimes come off as entitled and condescending because Molly is the typical good girl type (I love her, okay - just need to get that out) and Irene seems to be too daring for them (I love her too)
(Wow. This sounds so serious. I'm sorry OTL Instead, let us spread some love <3)
