OOH and another random, extreme thought. Mythology AU. That would be funny if Hades!lock and Persephone!Irene had a kid...then some Disney Hercules stuff happened to the kid. Their kid is named Nero. Nero became the emperor of Rome. And, assuming if the legends are true, Nero burned Rome down while playing the fiddle/lyre. Meanwhile his parents watch from the side, say they they are so proud of him, unawares that he's caused this much trouble. Oh, I would laugh. Jesus, I need to stop. I didn't know I needed this until now. That aside, I'd love some Spy AU. I've only found and read one story in that style ( Land of Hope and Glory) and it was truly brilliant, though it wasn't focused on them (which was oddly reefreshing). I don't know about Potterlock since I've never read HP and I can barey remember a thing or two about the movies. But I know myself well enough to know I'd still read it, and it would probably entice me into reading HP. AHH, SPY AU! Like Mr and Mrs Smith, I assume? Or perhaps Bond. Funny, since Lara did just play Ann Fleming... I loved Land of Hope and Glory...apparently there's a sequel coming out, am I right? I can't wait for it. READ HARRY POTTER. REAAAD IT. (jk)

Yes, some Mr and Mrs Smith kind of thing would be awesome, especially given the slightly antagonistic angle their relationship has. (And I think the Universe is trying to tell me something about HP? I just spent lunch the other day completely silent because all my gals were discussing something or the other about it and I was like there were wizards, right? Maybe I'll give it a try after my first exams.)

So I posted this on tumblr and got a good response, so it's a project I've begun working on. I thought it would be a cool AU, and period pieces are my favorite. :)

Just a few minutes ago, I realized I haven't exactly seen a gender bent Irene Adler so I decided to search it up and apparently, gender bent Irene is called Ian Adler and is popularly associated with Tom Hiddleston (which makes me happy because he and Lara Pulver are such beautiful people). Therefore, Potter!Lock AU or GoT AU with gender bent Irene and Sherlock :')or maybe like Irene and Ian could be twins/siblings and they both try to play Sherlock but in the end Irene falls in love (or idk I'm just really curious how it would play out - I need a fic)
Update: I had fun searching a few photos, reading some stuff. I approve of Tom Hiddleston as Ian Adler so much v.v , but I think I like the non gender bent AdLock pairing the best. (Although the genderbent Adlock isn't half as bad. It's really pretty good but I can't seem to find the perfect girl version of Sherlock - anyone have anybody in mind?).

I just suddenly thought of a GoT AU wherein Irene is Daenerys and Ian is Viserys while Sherlock is Jon Snow. I'm not sure why but it's working in my head [[aggressively searches for Adlock GoT AU fic]

I've read a few genderbent Irene fics (and yay Tom Hiddleston as Ian), and though I've enjoyed some of them, I have always found a bit unfair that Sherlock is often still a man. It only seems fair that he receives the same treatment as well. Also, Ian doesn't always share Irene's traits, beyond his line of work. This, however, made me remember that me and a friend were working on a swaplock (I think that's the name for that) fic, where Irene's the detective and Sherlock the dom. Though we never got anywhere with that--the similarities between these two made things oddly difficult to write.
